Donald C. Whiteway

Experience and Background

Don began his career in real estate as a title searcher for a large suburban firm that specialized in commercial transactions for both lending and borrowing clients, as well as residential closings.  He performed intricate searches involving the syndication of One Financial Plaza and Metro Center in Hartford, Connecticut and the compilation of numerous tracts of land in Burlington and Harwinton Connecticut in the development of Johnnycake Mountain Farms.

As a paralegal, Don has assisted in both commercial and residential closings for lending, purchasing, borrowing and selling clients.  He has been involved in both SBA 7A guaranty loans and SBA 504 loans in transactions representing lenders and CDC clients.  Don’s strong background in title has enabled him to solve problems in residential closings concerning issues with unrecorded mortgage releases, matters dealing with unresolved probate issues and unforeseen litigation matters encumbering real property.

Education and Activities

Don attended Central Connecticut State College (now CCSU) as a history major and was a member of the CCSC Blue Devils Marching band and performed in the Wind Ensemble.
